The
Nalanda Awards for Excellence in Teaching have been
instituted by the Nalanda Knowledge Foundation to honour and
acknowledge the tremendous contribution by the members of
the school teaching community in Baroda, Anand, Vallabh
Vidyanagar and Bharuch. Teachers from all schools
(Private, Government, Municipal),
in any medium, teaching in any Class between I-XII are
eligible for nomination to the Awards.
There are
5 categories of Awards :

Excellent Educator Award

Excellent Young Educator Award

Excellent Innovative Educator Award

Excellent Principal Award
-
Lifetime Achievement Award
Each
Award carries a Trophy, a Citation and a Cash Prize.
Teachers can be nominated by their Principals, fellow
Teachers, Friends, Relatives, Students or Parents of
students. Each Nominee has to fill in a self-appraisal form
on the basis of which he/she will be short-listed.
