Experiential Learning

Children understand the world more deeply when they experience it firsthand.

A conversation with an expert.

A journey beyond the campus.

A night spent beneath open skies.

A moment of responsibility shared with peers.

At Nalanda, experiential learning transforms education into something lived, felt, explored, and remembered. These experiences encourage children to connect classroom knowledge with real life while nurturing curiosity, independence, adaptability, empathy, and perspective.

Because some lessons stay longest when they are experienced, not simply taught.

Guest Talks

At Nalanda, guest speakers from diverse professions and walks of life bring students closer to real experiences, ideas, journeys, and possibilities beyond textbooks.

Doctors, artists, engineers, psychologists, counsellors, photographers, professors, and professionals share not only expertise, but also stories of perseverance, purpose, creativity, and growth.

A single conversation can open entirely new worlds. These interactions encourage students to think more broadly about the world and their own place within it.

Field Trips

The world itself becomes
a teacher during a field trip.

Visits to industries, hospitals, NGOs, temples, and institutions help students engage directly with ideas, systems, communities, and experiences they may otherwise only encounter in books.

These journeys make learning more tangible, meaningful, and memorable while encouraging observation, curiosity, awareness, and deeper understanding of the world around them.

Nature Camps

There is something unforgettable about childhood spent beneath open skies.

The excitement of staying in tents. Stories shared around a bonfire. The sounds of nature replacing everyday routines. The joy of discovering independence away from home.

Nalanda's annual Nature Camps create experiences that help children become more resilient, environmentally aware, collaborative, independent, and emotionally confident.

Far from screens and schedules, students rediscover simplicity, friendship, adventure, teamwork, and the quiet wisdom that nature often teaches best.

Sowing the Seeds of Spirituality

Spiritual education, although so important for children, remains largely unexplored in schools.

It helps us understand right and wrong, respect others, stay peaceful and positive even in difficult times. Learning about values like love, truth, patience, and forgiveness builds strong character and makes us better human beings.

Just as we study to grow our minds, we need spiritual learning to grow our hearts and souls, so that we can spread goodness and light wherever we go.

Astronomy Club

From the classroom
to the cosmos.

An active interest in stars, galaxies and constellations has led to an amateur Astronomy Club for students of Classes 7 and 8. They participate in activities such as Space Talks and Stargazing Nights and undertake fun projects to explore the mysteries of the universe.
