At Nalanda, events are an essential part of education. Festivals, performances, competitions, exhibitions, assemblies, sports meets, cultural programmes, and community initiatives bring the school community together while helping children discover confidence, leadership, creativity, collaboration, and belonging.
Every celebration becomes another thread in the tapestry of growing up.
Van Gogh's Exhibition & Amrut Kala Display
Amrut Kala is a celebration of the imagination and artistry of students, where creativity finds expression through paintings, crafts, designs, and handmade creations across diverse mediums. Each exhibit reflects not only talent, but also patience, originality, thought, and the joy of creating with one's own hands.
Sports Day
The Annual Sports Meet transforms the school grounds into a celebration of energy, colour, enthusiasm, and house spirit. Through races, drills, teamwork, and spirited participation, students experience the joy of healthy competition while learning leadership, perseverance, discipline, and collective pride.
Matru Puja
Deeply rooted in Indian tradition, Matru Puja is one of Nalanda's most emotional and meaningful ceremonies. Through Sanskrit shlokas, rituals, reflection, and heartfelt gestures, students express gratitude, seek blessings, and honour the unconditional love and sacrifices of their mothers. The atmosphere becomes one of serenity, reverence, humility, and deep emotional connection.

Ceremony
This Ceremony celebrates dedication, sincerity, consistency, leadership, and effort. As students receive recognition for academic excellence, all-round accomplishment, attendance, and contribution, the occasion becomes a proud reminder that every journey of growth deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.
Expressions
Expressions brings together students from across Vadodara in a vibrant interschool festival filled with storytelling, quizzes, theatre, poetry, art, performance, and spirited creativity. The event creates an atmosphere alive with imagination, confidence, collaboration, and the joy of young minds expressing themselves freely.
Abhivyakti
Built around the belief that drama is for everyone, Abhivyakti is Nalanda's theme-based, inter-house drama competition. As students rehearse, collaborate, and perform before an audience, they develop essential drama skills, gradually overcome stage fear, and discover the power of expression, storytelling, and teamwork.
Night Outs
There is something unforgettable about a night spent away from home with friends, educators, stories, laughter, and open skies. Nalanda's Night Outs give students the opportunity to cook together, camp together, and discover confidence, independence, teamwork, and responsibility through experiences that often become some of the warmest memories of school life.
Symphony
Held every December, Symphony is Nalanda's much-awaited annual extravaganza where the entire school community comes together in a spectacular celebration of storytelling, music, dance, drama, and imagination. With every child participating, the event becomes a beautiful expression of collaboration, confidence, creativity, and collective spirit, leaving behind memories that linger long after the curtains close.
Community Service
Through community outreach initiatives and NGO visits, students learn that education also carries the responsibility of empathy, kindness, and service. These experiences help children become more socially aware, compassionate, and sensitive to the realities around them, nurturing the understanding that even small acts of care can create meaningful change.
